Where do you go to when the call of the universe is begging to set your soul on fire?
My latest adventures took me up the coast to Point Reyes.
The drive wasn’t as long as I had thought it was going to be, but then again, my attention wasn’t nearly as focused on the passing of time but more so, rather, focused on the sudden drop in temperature, the continuous winding road to this alien destination, and my fascination of the seemingly untouched landscape, which for all I know, could’ve gone forever.
This is Time; suspended by the simple act of wonder.
I always find myself gravitating back to the water–like the waves which are constantly crashing and brushing up against the shore–and without fail, after staring out into the horizon, over the great expanse of the ocean, no matter how brief, I’m reminded to embrace the unknown, and to pursue genuine curiosity.
Without fail, I’m reminded that it’s okay to step away from the parameters set by societal expectation and to not take life too seriously.
